Alexandra is a social worker in the Caraquet area. She grew up on an island where her parents practiced farming for part of their lives to meet their families’ needs. She has always loved growing her vegetable garden and dreamed of having a small-scale farm to nurture that connection to the Earth. Today, she practices social work in private practice while also managing a market garden farm with her partner.

Just as in her personal life, she places great importance on Nature in her approach as a social worker. Out of a deep interest in the connection between humans and Nature, she has completed several trainings on integrating Nature into support work, as well as conducting her master’s research on various ecosocial practices. She is also registered in the Prescri-Nature program, which brings together professionals who promote contact with Nature as an important element of well-being. In addition, she has completed a 12-hour certification in Agriculture-Informed Therapy to ensure she can properly respond to the needs of farmers and their families.

Her approach is deeply rooted in respect for the cycles and rhythm of Nature, as well as for each person she has the privilege of supporting. In her sessions, she adopts an empathetic and authentic posture, allowing her to offer a caring space of openness and non-judgment.

She will be happy to meet you where you are, stay with you as long as you need, and then walk alongside you toward wherever you wish to go.
