Social Psychotherapist

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Michelle Brennan offers trauma-informed counselling grounded in empathy, practicality, and a deep understanding of rural life. As a Registered Social Worker and Canadian Certified Counsellor, Michelle specializes in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy—an empowering, teachable approach to mental health that equips clients with lifelong tools to manage stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, and grief.

Michelle lives and practices in Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick, where she works with individuals and families across Carleton County and surrounding areas. Her deep roots in the local farming community—potato farmers on her father’s side and dairy farmers on her mother’s—give her unique insight into the pressures faced by those working the land. She understands firsthand the values of hard work, self-reliance, and community, and the challenges of isolation, economic uncertainty, and generational expectations common in agricultural life.

Offering flexible counselling services with a preference for in-person sessions, Michelle is committed to providing culturally sensitive care that honours the lived experience of farming families. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to take charge of their emotional well-being.

Together, we can break the stigma and strengthen support for those who feed New Brunswick.
